County Landfill & Recycling

General Information
Hamilton County Landfill & Recycling Center serves the people of Hamilton County with their solid waste, recycling and hazardous waste needs. The Solid Waste Facility consists of five sites, which are all located at 4652 SW 107th Ave, Jasper, FL. These sites are Class III Landfill-Hazardous Waste Center-Waste Tire Site-Scrap Metal Site-Residential Household Garbage Collection Site. The following information is a breakdown of fees and items accepted at the facility. If you have any items that you need to dispose of and they are not listed, please contact us.

Class III Landfill
Local Contractors & residents can dispose of land clearing debris and construction debris in the Class III landfill. This facility may only accept Class III waste materials that satisfy the definition of FAC Rule 62-701.200(14). These materials are: yard trash, construction and demolition debris, carpet, cardboard, paper, glass, plastic, furniture or other materials approved by the Department of Environmental Protection for disposal at the Class III landfill. If you have any questions about the Class III landfill, please contact the director.

The Class III Landfill serves the residents, businesses and contractors in the surrounding areas and beyond.

Monday - Friday 8 am to 4 pm
Saturdays 9 am to 12 pm

Location
Take 5th Ave. SW (located between the S&S Convenience Store & The Drive Thru Package Liquor Store in Jasper), go straight until you dead end at 8th St. SE, turn left on 8th St., then left on SW 107th Ave. at the entrance of Evergreen Cemetery. The Facility is approximately 1/2 of a mile on the left. We are on the same road as the Hamilton County Recreation Center and the Hamilton Correctional Institution.

Dumping Fees:
Residential Household Garbage: $70.00 per ton

Construction Debris: $25.00 per ton (We do not accept Asbestos)

Yard Trash/Land Clearing Debris: $40.00 per ton

Tires:
Commercial: $60.00 per ton
Residential: $45.00 per ton

Scrap Metal & White Goods: Not Charge
Any scrap metal and appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washer & dryers, freezers, air conditioning units are just examples of white goods that are accepted at the scrap metal site. TV's, VCR's, microwave ovens, stereo equipment, computer equipment cannot be disposed of at the scrap metal site. These items are disposed of with the household garbage. If you have any questions, please contact the facility for more information.

Recycling Center

Hours: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Recycling Center is closed on Saturdays, so there is no attendant to assist you. However, you can drop off your recyclables at the center.

Items Accepted at the Recycling Center:
  • Glass: No windowpanes, glass from vehicles, mirrors, cookware, mason jars.
  • Metal Cans: Such as food cans.
  • Plastic: Soda bottles, milk jugs, etc.
  • Paper: Computer paper, white ledger paper, greenbar paper, notebook paper, newspaper, etc.
  • Magazines: Catalogs are also accepted
  • Aluminum Cans: We only buy aluminum cans on Monday - Friday 8 am to 4 pm. Call for current price per pound.

Household Hazardous Waste Center

Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am to 4 pm
Rates: Free to Hamilton County Residents

Items Accepted:
  • Used motor oil
  • Used oil filters
  • Paint/Paint Thinner
  • Pesticides
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Batteries
**Any businesses in Hamilton County that wish to dispose of Hazardous Waste please contact the Director.
